Vote for Pedro
I love the movie Napoleon Dynamite. I will never forget the first time I saw it at the movie theater with my husband. We're sitting there watching it and about half way through we look at each and both say "what's the point?" As we get up to leave we were both talking about how dumb the movie was and that we couldn't understand why we were encouraged to go see it and how anyone could like it. So we're driving home from the the theater and all of a sudden we start quoting things we heard in the movie and we just start laughing and then we realized that it really was a hilarious movie. Of course we bought it as soon as it came out on DVD and we have probably watched that DVD more than all the other movies we have put together. We still walk around quoting lines that have become part of our regular repertoire in conversation. So where am I going with this post? I guess sometimes when I sit down to write a post I feel like I have so much I want to say and then all of a sudden I feel like Pedro giving his speech for school president, "hello, I don't have much to say". Sometimes I feel like words are just meaningless, I mean who cares what I think anyway, but then I think, well its my blog and I can write whatever I want, no one has to read it. Anyway, the point of this post is to lighten things up around here, my last couple of posts were really deep. I had been kind of thinking about chiming in my two cents about politics, but I can't stop feeling like a sad child caught up in a custody battle between the two main parties so the only thing I can really say today about that is Vote for Pedro!
